Answer to Question 1

Suggested Response: The Framework for Teaching includes four domains of teaching responsibilities: planning and preparation, classroom environment, instruction, and professional responsibilities.
In the domain of planning and preparation, you want to demonstrate content knowledge and knowledge of students. You need to design instruction that flows and meets instructional outcomes, and you need to design assessments that correlate with lessons.
In the domain of classroom environment, you need to establish a culture of learning in which you show respect for students and they show respect for you and one another. You need to establish rules and procedures and manage student behavior effectively. Your use of the physical space should support learning.
In the domain of instruction, you need to use a variety of teaching strategies to meet students' learning needs. Your instruction should be engaging and demonstrate flexibility in response to students' needs.
In the domain of professional responsibilities, you need to be a reflective teacher who takes steps to improve your teaching. You should maintain accurate records and communicate with parents and guardians to ensure that they know how their child is doing. You also need to show professionalism by being involved in professional organizations, accessing professional resources, and participating in professional activities at school and in the community.
