Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
This certification was developed specifically for LPN/LVNs. To qualify for this examination, the nurse must hold an active LPN/LVN license in the United States or its territories, must have practiced in long-term care for 2,000 hours (full-time equivalent of 1 year) within the past 3 years, and must furnish endorsement letters of reference. The certification period lasts for several years and can be renewed by meeting established requirements, including 20 or more units of specific continuing education.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
Malignant lesions are more likely to be irregularly shaped and hard, and often show secondary signs, such as enlarged lymph nodes in the axillary area, breast asymmetry, nipple retraction, bloody discharge, dimpling, or elevation of one breast. Benign lesions tend to be round or oval with a smooth border and usually show no secondary signs. Furthermore, benign lesions are likely to be movable.

There can actually be a 25-hour time difference between certain locations in the world. The International Date Line passes between the islands of Samoa and American Samoa. It is not a straight line, but "zig-zags" around various island chains. Therefore, Samoa and nearby islands have one date, while American Samoa and nearby islands are one day behind. Daylight saving time is used in some islands, but not in others—further shifting the hours out of sync with natural time.
