Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
Blood is obtained typically through blood donations. Autologous blood donations are self-donated; it is the safest blood for the client. Perioperative blood infusions (intraoperative blood salvage and postoperative blood salvage) can use blood that is lost during and immediately after surgical procedures. Special equipment and training is required for this procedure. Directed blood donations (designated) are from donors the client selects, such as family members or friends. Directed donations are not as safe as the client's own blood. The community blood bank is the least safe of all the options.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
The hands of children with Down syndrome and fragile X syndrome have simian creases. The child with fragile X syndrome has an abnormally large head, large protruding ears, and wide set eyes.
