Answer to Question 1

B
Feedback:
Extended-care facilities and assisted living services provide many employment opportunities for nurses, and these opportunities are increasing. Several groups, including the American Nurses Association (ANA), are addressing nurse staffing, particularly in facilities requiring a high level of nursing skill. Extended-care nursing enables the nurse to integrate many nursing skills and practice total nursing care. This also provides the nurse with an opportunity to work with clients over a longer period of time, because the length of stay is often longer than in the hospital. This allows the nurse to work more closely with the client's family and observe their interaction with the client.

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
A temperature that alternates between a fever and a normal or subnormal reading is an intermittent fever. A temperature that rises several degrees above normal and returns to normal or near normal is a remittent fever. A constant fever stays elevated. A sudden drop from fever to normal temperature is called crisis.
