Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
This client is in the anger stage of dealing with death. The best suggestion for helping the person cope is to listen to what the client is saying. No arguing and answering the client's questions honestly are good ways to help the person who is the denial stage of dealing with death. Trying to assist in client's wishes is an appropriate way to help the person in the bargaining stage of the diagnosis of death.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
If a client refuses to eat hospital food, the nurse should obtain permission to let the family bring all the food from home. This would make the client feel comfortable. Even if the nurse tries to convince the client that hospital food is good for her health, she may not eat enough because of her personal food preferences and aversions. The same would happen even if the family members tried to feed her hospital food. Alternating hospital food with the client's home food is not an appropriate intervention when caring for this client.
