Answer to Question 1

with ketoacidosis

Rationale: Excess glucose levels in the blood can escalate to formation of keytone bodies causing ketoacidosis. Very high sugar levels will spill over into the urine. A patient who exhibits signs of extreme thirst, urinates frequently and has sweet smelling breath could be life threatening and needs to be medically addressed with insulin and fluids.

Answer to Question 2

distal fibular superimposed with the calcaneus

Rationale: Distal fibula will superimpose the calcaneus when the foot is not dorsiflexed, obscuring potential fracture of the distal fibula.
