  d. hourly cravings for nicotine

Other criteria include the abrupt cessation or reduction of use followed within 24 hours by four or more of the following symptoms: dysphoria or depression, insomnia, irritability, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, restlessness, decreased heart rate, increased appetite, or weight gain.
