Answer to Question 1

3
Rationale: The interpersonal need for control is the need to establish and maintain a satisfactory relationship between oneself and other people with regard to power and influence and maintain a feeling of respect for the competence and responsibility of others to a satisfying degree to oneself. The group leader has a desire to control the group, but does not want to be controlled by any of its members. Religion, self-respect, and social reasoning are not among the three basic interpersonal needs.

Answer to Question 2

3
Rationale: Communication is encouraged during crisis interventions and decreased or limited communication would not help the client resolve the crisis. The other choices are balancing factors.
