Confidentiality issues and negotiation for the time and place of interactions should be addressed in the orientation phase prior to entering the working phase. Reminding the client that change is expected before discharge may produce stress and anxiety placing undue pressure on the client. This could inhibit the relationship and deter progress toward the goals.
