Answer to Question 1

BST is a naturally-occurring hormone that helps stimulate milk production. Because of genetic engineering, this hormone can be produced quickly and cheaply. Some people think that large amounts of BST can cause inflammation of the cow's udders which may be a sign that the hormone is not safe. The National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration have declared BST to be safe for cows and humans.

Answer to Question 2

parallelism
