Answer to Question 1

The most dangerous coal mines are underground mines. There are chances of cave-ins, explosions, and exposure
to poisonous gases.

Answer to Question 2

A shaft mine accesses passageways that are vertical to the coal seam. A slope mine has the access tunnel on a slope
from the surface to the coal seam. A drift mine is used when a passageway is bored in a hill or mountain
