Answer to Question 1

Refrigeration is the most effective at controlling bacterial growth. The sample with
salt added and the buttermilk sample will follow with moderate bacterial growth.
Most bacterial growth will occur in the control sample.

freezing, chemical preservatives, vacuum storage, and dehydration
