Answer to Question 1

ANS: 2

Answer to Question 2

A
Several factors contribute to an increased need to provide health care in an ethical manner. One of these factors is an increasingly technological society. As a result of technological advances, many newborns are surviving at earlier gestational ages and many of them have serious health problems. Another factor is the changing fabric of society. Family structure is moving from extended families to nuclear families, single-parent families, and nonrelated groups living together as families. Another factor is that patients are becoming more knowledgeable about their health and health-related interventions. The result is an increased focus on the consumer-driven system. And lastly, the proportion of total federal funds allocated for health care is continually decreasing.
