Answer to Question 1

B
Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is a critical condition that occurs as the consequence of primary diseases such as acute leukemia or in conditions such as shock, acute infection, and trauma. Normal clotting is disrupted by diffuse clot formation within vessels; as the body attempts to stop clot formation, hemorrhaging occurs and vascular occlusion causes infarcts in organs such as the kidneys.

Answer to Question 2

A, B, C
Induction of labor is considered for the following: PROM, gestational hypertension, maternal diabetes, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, fetal growth restriction, fetal demise, and chorioamniotis.
