Answer to Question 1

B
Detecting disease in the presymptomatic phase is a characteristic of acute care. Isolated management of acute illness episodes without a view to comprehensive disease management is shortsighted and increasingly inadequate for managing chronic disease. Increasing the numbers of long-term care facilities will not effectively manage patients with chronic diseases. Training more nurses will not effectively manage patients with chronic diseases.

Answer to Question 2

A
More than half of recorded sexually transmitted infections occur in persons under the age of 25 . Sexual abuse and molestation should be considered when children under the age of 10 are diagnosed with having a sexually transmitted infection.
