Answer to Question 1

C
Liver mortis is the bluish purple discoloration that is a by-product of red blood cell destruction. This discoloration occurs in dependent areas of the body. The nurse should elevate the head to prevent discoloration from the pooling of blood. Rigor mortis is stiffening of the body that occurs 2 to 4 hours after death. Algor mortis occurs when the body temperature decreases with a resultant lack of skin elasticity.

Answer to Question 2

C
The physiological changes of aging can complicate drug therapy in the older adult. The normal effects of aging alter how the body metabolizes and excretes drugs. Older adults are more sensitive to both the toxic and therapeutic effects of medications.
