Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) affects both the peripheral and central nervous systems. Common effects include hypertension, increased temperature, sweating, loss of appetite, dilated pupils, and dry mouth. Time and distance are distorted. The client will experience hallucinations and delusions and will hear colors and see sounds. LSD creates a state of euphoria or depression.
