Answer to Question 1

A, B, E, F
The client who is obese can present challenges to the health care provider. The increase in soft tissue is a risk factor for immobility, skin breakdown, difficulty breathing, and safety issues. The client who is obese is at risk for hypercoagulopathy, resulting in deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism after surgery. Extra tissue also increases the risk for pneumonia because of immobility and difficulty taking breaths.

Answer to Question 2

C
Hiatal hernia occurs when a portion of the stomach protrudes into the mediastinal cavity through the diaphragm. Symptoms of a hiatal hernia include daily indigestion and heartburn, especially after eating a large meal.
