Answer to Question 1

C
Neonates without hearing impairments respond to loud noises. Atrophy of the cerumen glands, seen mainly in older adults, cause thicker and dryer wax, which is more difficult to remove and may completely obstruct the auditory canal. Hearing loss can be determined at any age with additional testing by an EENT specialist.

Answer to Question 2

A
You will need to assist patients with acute visual impairments with walking. Stand on the patient's dominant, stronger, or uninjured side. The patient grasps your elbow or upper arm. You then walk one half step ahead and slightly to the patient's side. The patient's shoulder is directly behind your shoulder. Relax and walk at a comfortable pace.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
