Answer to Question 1

2
Rationale: Antibiotics are taken until all the medication ordered is taken. The client would need reinforcement if the client thought he should stop the medication when the symptoms are gone. The client is appropriate if he does not skip doses or if he calls if the symptoms get worse.

Answer to Question 2

2
Rationale: The nurse should initiate contact isolation until the eye is treated for at least 24 hours with antibiotic eyedrops, because conjunctivitis is very contagious, and can be passed by contact.
