Answer to Question 1

P(x < 48) = P(z < -2.20) = 0.5000  0.4861 = 0.0139

Answer to Question 2

P(48 < x < 88) = P(-2.20 < z < 1.80) = 0.4861 + 0.4641 = 0.9502
