ANS: Kumiuta is a vocal form that is accompanied by koto. Texts are sung in
constant phrases lengths called dan. This form developed into a purely instrumental genre,
which is exemplified in Rokudan no shirabe.

ornamentation techniques such as tremolo, vibrato, and slides.
