ANS: The taqsim is the exposition of the principle pitches of the maqam being used
for the performance of a piece. Players circle around the important tones and connect them
with graceful transitions

ANS: Tarab is the transcendent emotional experience that arises from the
performance of moving music and Qur'anic poetry.
