Answer to Question 1

Thin film material is manufactured in a plastic roll. The plastic material is a durable polymer substrate that results in a thinner panel material. The thin film material is ready to install the way it is manufactured on a roll. The rigid frame panel has multiple parts that must be physically assembled.
