Companies may provide medical assistance on site or rely on third party providers (e.g. fire departments, emergency medical agencies, ambulance services, etc.). Relying on third party providers is the most widely used approach, but even when this is the preferred method, first aid supplies should be readily available at the job site. In addition, designated employees and/or supervisors should be trained in first aid fundamentals.
