Answer to Question 1

The purpose of the survey is to determine the structural integrity of columns, beams, floors, walls, framing, and roofs.

Answer to Question 2

In holes that have been primed and shunted, detonators should be short-circuited until they are connected into the blasting circuit.
In the event of a lightning storm, blasting operations should be suspended and all personnel should be removed from the blasting area.
Warning signs should be prominently displayed to warn against the use of radio transmitters within 1,000 feet of the blasting site.
