Answer to Question 1

Answer: A

Answer to Question 2

Answer: No, as its name implies, the rock cycle is cyclical and its routes vary. Igneous rock, for example, may be subjected to heat and pressure far below Earth's surface to become metamorphic rock. Or metamorphic or sedimentary rocks at Earth's surface may decompose to become sediment that becomes new sedimentary rock. Cycles within cycles occur in Earth's dynamic crust.
