It has been found that the public does not really distinguish between the various types of therapeutic interviewers (i.e., psychologist, psychiatrist, mental health counselor, etc.). This demonstrates that:
 
  a) therapists are not that important to people
  b) therapists do not do a good job distinguishing themselves from one another
  c) regardless of orientation, therapists are lumped together by the public
  d) therapists need to adopt a catchier title
