Answer to Question 1

ANSWER: a

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER: A conductive hearing loss refers to any condition that impedes the sequence of vibrations or prevents them from reaching the auditory nerve, resulting in a loss in conduction. Sensorineural hearing losses are caused by defects of the inner ear or auditory nerve. Conductive hearing losses are seldom more than 60 to 70 dB. These losses can be effectively reduced through amplification, medical treatment, or surgery. Sensorineural losses can affect only certain frequencies, especially the high frequencies.
