Answer to Question 1

There are many mosques in Egypt. Mosques highlight the importance of the Islamic tradition through their design with tall minarets being prominent in the skyline. Geometric patterns and design are used most often in art over pictures. However, people who have completed the Hajj sometimes have painted scenes representing it in their homes, and there is public call to worship throughout the day.

Answer to Question 2

A food company would want to pasteurize eggs in the shell to reduce the Salmonella content of the raw egg. A pasteurized shell egg would then be safer for the consumer to use, because the bacterial load would be lower. Pasteurization would have to be carefully controlled, so that the egg did not cook. This would be accomplished by heating the egg in the shell in water baths of increasing temperatures.
