An advantage of egg substitutes is that
 
  (1) they can be separated successfully, (2) no cholesterol is present, (3) volume is greater in cakes made with substitutes than with fresh eggs, (4) aroma and flavor are superior to fresh eggs, (5) they do not require refrigeration or freezing

Briefly describe the appearance of a cut piece of cherry pie made with corn starch as the thickener compared to a cut piece of cherry pie made with all-purpose flour as the thickener.

The cherry pie made with corn starch will form a nice, thick gel that holds its shape. It will be translucent, so the cherries may be seen. The cherry pie made with flour will be more be more opaque.
