The MCV is not in the anemic range, but it is just 1 m3 away from a micorcytic anemia and, since anemia is evident, could be considered as a microcytic anemia.

Answer to Question 2

 Reduce weight to IBW.
 Reduce Na to prevent fluid retention; reduction appropriate to condition.
 Reduce fluid to help fluid retention; reduction appropriate to condition.
 The remaining constituents would be in accordance with American Heart Association diet recommendations.
