Answer to Question 1

Cholesterol: Desirable  less than 200 mg/dL
Borderline high risk  200239 mg/dL
High risk  240 mg/dL and over

Triglycerides: Less than 150 mg/dL = Normal
150199 mg/dL = Borderline-high
200499 mg/dL = High
500 mg/dL or higher = Very high

LDL: Optimal  less than 100 mg/dL
Near Optimal/Above Optimal  100 to 129 mg/dL
Borderline High  130 to 159 mg/dL
High  160 to 189 mg/dL
Very High  190 mg/dL and above

HDL: Male, levels range from 40 to 50 mg/dL.
Female, they range from 50 to 60 mg/dL.
Less than 40 mg/dL is low.

KB's values were: Chol = 255 mg/dl (high risk); TG = 257 mg/dl (high); HDL = 46 mEq/L (normal); LDL = 192 mg/dl (very high).
