Calculate Mrs. M's adjusted body weight

Question 2

Is it possible that GG's diet will ever change or do you believe she will be on a postgastrectomy diet for the rest of her life? Explain your answer.

Answer to Question 1

Adjusted body wt = (actual body wt - IBW)  0.25 + IBW
= (252 - 115)  0.25 + 115
= 137  .25 + 115
= 149 lbs

Answer to Question 2

In time, GG should be able to return to a fairly normal diet, eating larger meals, and taking more fluids with her meals. However, this may not occur. She may have to remain on a similar diet for the rest of her life. I do not know what the difference is but I have seen both situations.
