Answer to Question 1

1
Rationale: During the fight or flight response the body uses all available resources to provide for the additional energy needs of the body. It mobilizes fat stores to provide fuel for the body's needs. Glucose is generated from stores in the liver and muscles to provide energy. Skeletal muscle tissue is sacrificed to provide a source of glucose. Proteins are catabolized into amino acids.

Answer to Question 2

C
Liver glycogen stores can maintain blood glucose level for 8 to 12 hours of fasting.
