The Uniform Services Former Spouses Protection Act (USFSPA) was passed to allow:
 
  a. Retired military spouses to retain their entire retirement stipend.
  b. Ex-spouses to share in military retirement benefits.
  c. Children of military personnel to receive child support.
  d. Retired military personnel to opt out of benefits.
