Other parole officers work as field officers in the community. Parts of their duties include helping parolees find jobs, schools, and treatment programs. They also provide resources to community agencies to assist the success of parolees. Parole officers are in charge of visiting the parolees and evaluate their progress.

Parole is a privilege to offenders because they are released from prison before their full sentence is served. Parole is a contract between the state and the offender.
