The mini case premise involves the witness being shoved into a wall by a suspect who had just stolen books while exiting the book store with the stolen merchandise. The officer should take field notes. The hand written field notes will be turned in as the assignment. A good example for the students to follow can be found in Figures 3.2 and 3.3 in the textbook.

Answer: Answers will vary, but should follow all the requirements that are presented in the textbook. Some items to look for include making sure the report is written so it can be understood. The report should be factual, thorough, and to the point. These reports should also be objective and the word choices should be descriptive and clear.
