The main ingredients in straight dynamite are nitroglycerine and pulp. In addition to nitroglycerine and pulp, modern straight dynamites also include sodium nitrate (which furnishes oxygen for complete combustion) and a small percentage of a stabilizer, such as calcium carbonate.
