Answer to Question 1

Insulin promotes glucose uptake and storage of glucose.
In an analogous way, insulin promotes fatty acid uptake
and storage as triglycerides in adipocytes. Furthermore,
insulin inhibits glycogen breakdown and gluconeogenesis
and similarly inhibits lipolysis. Overall, insulin is an anabolic
hormone that promotes energy storage.
