 a. excess protein in the diet.
  b. drinking too much water.
  c. fluid leaking from the blood vessels.
  d. a deficiency of linoleic-acid.

Question 2

Why would people freeze, thaw, and refreeze foods as opposed to putting them in the refrigerator?

People may freeze meat if they do not plan to use it right away. They may take it out to thaw and then decide not to cook it and then place it back in the freezer to keep it longer. People may think that freezing after thawing it will kill any harmful bacteria on the meat as opposed to keeping it in the refrigerator.
