Answer to Question 1

c

Answer to Question 2

The raw vegetables and fruits do contain higher levels of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. For example, soluble fiber can lead to reduction of spikes in blood glucose due to its ability to slow done the absorption of glucose into the blood stream. This will reduce the levels of insulin needed to reduce the blood glucose levels as well.
Soluble fiber can also bind to bile in the small intestine and help release it into the feces. This may reduce the levels of cholesterol in the blood stream since the liver can convert bile into cholesterol.
Many minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium, found in raw fruits and vegetables may also lower blood pressure by helping relax blood vessel smooth muscles and controlling the fluid balance in the tissues.
Several vitamins such as vitamin C and E serve as antioxidants that may help reduce the inflammation in the blood vessels and liver. This could result in the reduction of insulin resistance and blood pressure.
