Omega-3 fatty acids may help improve brain function as well as the B vitamins (thiamin, niacin, and riboflavin) that are important for energy production. The brain requires a lot of energy for neuronal cell function and communication. A diet that provides enough of the B vitamins will help improve memory in addition to other cognitive functions.
