Answer to Question 2

Researchers found that fast-food density and a higher ratio of fast-food to full-service restaurants were associated with higher individual-level weight status. The prevalence of fast-food restaurants in the US was associated with obesity on a statewide basis. Fast-food restaurant concentration was also associated with increased preschool-aged childhood obesity and with eating fewer fruits and vegetables in middle school and high school students.
