The term food insecurity refers to the:
  1.compelling desire for food.
  2.fear of new or unfamiliar foods.
  3.psychological stimuli, craving or desire for food that overrides hunger and satiety.
  4.situation when food availability is limited or access is uncertain.

  Would taking chromium picolinate supplements help me build muscle mass and lose fat?

Probably not. In general, controlled clinical studies that have used the gold standards for measuring body composition (such as dual energy x-ray absorptiometry) have not shown a beneficial effect of chromium supplementation on body composition.
