The rule of nines is used to calculate the body surface area burned, where values of 9 or 18 are given to different regions of the body as follows: Head and neck 9, chest (front) 9, abdomen (front) 9, upper/mid/low back and buttocks 18, each arm (front and back) 9, each leg 18 (front 9 and back 9), and perineum 1.

Answer to Question 2

 Extraintestinal symptoms include:
- Osteopenia and osteoporosis
- Dermatitis
- Rheumatological conditions such as ankylosing spondylitis
- Ocular symptoms
- Hepatobiliary complications
 Anemia
 Mr. Page appears to be experiencing anemia.
