Answer to Question 1

FALSE

Answer to Question 2

The French Paradox is the idea that even though alcohol intake can be associated with heart disease, drinking modest amounts of red wine was reported to be protective against heart disease. The basis for the apparent paradox is that the Frenchwho drink more red wine than do Americanshave lower rates of heart disease despite the fact that their saturated fat intake is similar to those of Americans. In fact, regardless of any protective effects moderate alcohol consumption might convey, the source of alcohol is unlikely to make much difference.
