A diet that is deficient in iron the world's most common nutritional disorder and causes iron-deficiency anemia. The body's stores of iron are slowly depleted by such a deficient diet, and when depleted enough the body cannot produce enough hemoglobin. As a result, the blood cannot deliver the oxygen that body cells need, causing the individual to experience fatigue and weakness.
