Explain at least three tips for handling e-mail.

Check your messages frequently throughout the work day. Because the messages are like pieces of paper on your desk, they must be treated with the same importance as you give to traditional incoming mail.

Respond to messages immediately. Answering the messages promptly lets everyone know you are effective and can be relied on for prompt responses.

Sort and delete messages regularly. Doing so will save you from having to read through old ones and handling messages more than once.
