Answer to Question 1

Community resources provide added opportunities for children to find out more about their place in the world, to develop new skills, and to consider different ways of living, thinking, and doing things. Additional resources provide for childrens high energy level by giving them lots to do and challenges to meet.

Answer to Question 2

It may be difficult recruiting and training volunteers. Transportation problems make it difficult to get children actually into the community. The time children spend in out-of-school time is too limited. The wide age range of children makes planning activities more difficult.
